The Pill Ring by Damien Hirst and HOORSENBUHS in 18K gold with diamonds and rubies

Damien Hirst × HOORSENBUHS®

The Cathedral Collection

Numbered editions · 2014

Pills as relics. Hirst's pharmaceutical icons, cast in gold on the tri-link.

In 2014 Damien Hirst and HOORSENBUHS® made two pieces together: a Pill Ring and a Pill Rosary. The pills that fill Hirst's medicine cabinets are cast in solid gold, engraved with their names and doses, set with diamonds and rubies, and bound into the tri-link that has defined HOORSENBUHS® since MMV.

Each was released as a numbered edition of 25, stamped, and delivered in a sealed pill vial that can be opened only once.

“You can pray to your pills. They are like a cure.”
